How the Club is built

The Club exists for one thing: finding someone to do sport with. It is not a social network, and its rules follow from how it is built.

• The board is anonymous. Whoever reads a post sees the sport, the place, the day and the note — not who published it.
• You join with a single message. Whoever wants in sends one, and only then do the two usernames reveal themselves to each other.
• There is no chat, there are no public profiles, and there is no feed to follow.

Less surface means fewer ways to hurt someone. That is a design choice, not a missing feature.

What you can post

A post says: which sport, where, when, how many people are needed, and a free note. The note is there to convey what the session is like — the pace, the level, what to bring.

Write the way you would speak to someone you have never met and might spend two hours with. That is what is about to happen.

What is not allowed

The following are not allowed:

• insults, harassment, threats;
• content discriminating on origin, gender, orientation, religion, disability or any other personal characteristic;
• sexually explicit content or sexual propositions;
• violence, incitement to hatred, content glorifying self-harm;
• advertising, promotions, selling products or services, fundraising;
• deceptive posts: sessions that do not exist, false locations, identities that are not yours;
• illegal activity, or activity that deliberately endangers those taking part.

Protect your privacy, and other people's

Do not post precise addresses. Give a recognisable meeting point — a park, a car park, a square — not your home.

Do not post phone numbers, social profiles, email addresses or other contact details: neither yours nor anyone else's. The board is anonymous precisely so that you don't have to.

Do not write about people who did not choose to be there. A post is about you and the session you are proposing.

When you meet someone in person

This matters more than anything else on this page. The Club puts strangers in touch to do sport together. A few obvious precautions are worth taking:

• the first time, meet in a public, busy place;
• tell someone where you are going, with whom, and when you expect to be back;
• bring a charged phone;
• judge the level of the session yourself: nobody knows your condition better than you, and no post obliges you to anything;
• if something feels wrong — before, during or after — leave. You owe nobody an explanation.

Fennec Hint does not verify anyone's identity and cannot guarantee who you will find on the other side. Saying so is not a courtesy: it is the real limit of any notice board, and we would rather you knew.

Reporting and blocking

Any post can be reported and any person blocked, straight from the app.

Blocking is immediate and needs no reason: whoever you block disappears from your board and can no longer join your posts.

Reporting is how you tell us something is wrong. A report is not public, and the person reported does not learn who made it.

What we do

We review reports at least once a day. Where intervention is needed, we act within 24 hours: removing the content, suspending the account, or both.

There is no pre-publication review. Nobody reads posts before they go up, and there are no moderators awake around the clock. We would rather say so than imply otherwise.

We do not reply individually to every report. We read all of them.

What happens when the rules are broken

Depending on severity and repetition: removal of the post, temporary suspension from the Club, indefinite suspension.

A suspension affects the Club, not the account. You can still sign in, manage your data and delete your account whenever you like: locking you out would stop you exercising your rights, and we do not do that.

Serious breaches — threats, sexual content involving minors, illegal activity — mean immediate closure and, where required, a report to the authorities.
